WHAT IS IT?
Have you started noticing small brown spots and broken blood vessels on your skin? These are signs of skin damage, and they represent some of the most common presentations of premature aging. Fortunately, there's a simple solution that may improve your skin tone and restore a more youthful complexion.
IPL (Intense Pulse light) Photorejuvenation, also known a Photofacial, is a rejuvenation treatment that can be tailored to your skin type and concerns to address skin discolouration, blotchy redness and brown pigmentation. Venus Versa™ Photorejuvenation treatments work to reduce visible signs of premature aging, sun damage and flushing symptoms from rosacea.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Doing 3-5 treatments initially (spaced a month apart) is usually recommended for optimal results. Each session will last approximately 20-30 minutes. Maintenance is scheduled 2-4 times a year and will also help to keep progressive symptoms of rosacea under control. The treatment itself is described as a sensation similar to the snap of an elastic band. Immediately following the treatment there might be some redness and swelling.
Conditions it treats
- Rosacea
- Brown spots, pigmentation, discolouration and uneven skin tone
- Skin redness
- Visible veins and vascular spots
- Fine lines and wrinkles.
How it Works
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) delivers precise light through several layers of skin and uses multiple wavelengths of light, each of which reaches a different depth, and targets a different skin condition. As a result damaged blood vessels close down and pigment cells disperse. These can initially appear darker, before the body clears it away.
The procedure generates heat when absorbed by the targeted tissue, which corrects imperfections in the skin without damaging any of the surrounding tissue. A real-time cooling system works to keep your skin protected throughout treatment.
