It is possible to refresh a tired appearance and soften unwanted lines and wrinkles with BOTOX® Cosmetic or Dysport®.
Each treatment is customised by a Doctor or RN to your specific concerns. These are targeted at the individual muscles that contribute to wrinkles, such as crow’s feet, as well as frown lines, forehead lines and bunny lines on the nose. They can also relax muscular movements to turn up the corners of the mouth, soften a squared jawline and dimpling skin on the chin.
Botox and Dysport Essentials
We use either Botox Cosmetic® or Dysport®.
At Willow Medical Aesthetics, all Botox Cosmetic® and Dysport® treatments are performed by a medical doctor. Our Medical Team have extensive experience and have been injecting Botox for many years.
What is it?
Botox® or Dysport® is injected into specific muscles to soften unwanted lines or wrinkles and refresh a tired look.
Dysport® and Botox® are both licensed in Canada for cosmetic treatments.
Botox® and Dysport® are the trade names for Botulinum purified protein complex made by Allergan and Galderma and are FDA and Health Canada approved.
Botulinum Toxin therapy for wrinkles is an injection treatment designed to reduce facial expression lines by enabling the muscles to relax. It works by blocking the signal between nerves and muscles, so the muscles treated do not contract. In the face and neck, Botulinum Toxin therapy works best for "dynamic" lines and wrinkles to prevent lines from becoming more permanent. It is less effective for fine textural changes on the skin surface and for those lines already present at rest. It will soften these lines and work in conjunction with other treatments to get optimum results.
What to expect?
Upon arrival at our clinic, one of our client services representatives will greet you. If you are new to our clinic you will be asked to fill out intake and consent forms; please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete these forms. Within your Botox/Dysport appointment, you will have a thorough consultation to determine the best treatment and address areas of concern, and your goals. The injections are usually well tolerated, with minimal discomfort. After the injections, the effect gradually begins over several days and the full effect may not be seen until 14 days post injection. Botulinum Toxin therapy is temporary, meaning it will have to be repeated on a regular basis to remain effective. An average response is 3 - 5 months, depending on the area and condition treated.
